Stacy Berlfein, M.F.A.
Stacy is an artist and teacher who enjoys working with students of all ages to encourage their creativity while teaching a variety of technical art-making skills. Originally from southern California, she has grown up in north Texas and has lived in San Antonio since 2004. Having received a B.F.A. in Art in 2003 from UT Austin and a Master’s in Drawing from UTSA in 2006, she is experienced in a variety of media and can teach drawing and painting with subject matter such as landscape, portraiture, and still life. She is also experienced in other arts like papier mache sculpture and printmaking, as well as crafts such as ceramics and beadwork. She has been teaching adults and children for over ten years in local colleges and nonprofit art organizations. Stacy has exhibited artwork locally at the Blue Star Contemporary, the Lone Star Arts District, Luminaria, and the Southwest School of Art. She takes an open-minded approach when teaching and works to develop students’ skills according to their individual interests in art.
