Lisa began her career 25 years ago as an actress with the bilingual theatre company, El Teatro de la Esperanza based out of San Francisco. There, she fell in love with the transformative power of performance and media. She is proud to have worked with the following organizations: El Teatro de la Esperanza, The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, Gemini Ink, the City of Austin, Catholic Charities, and Luminaria San Antonio. But she's equally proud of the many independent works she's done in writing, film, and other various creative endeavors. She holds a doctorate in Culture, Literacy, and Language. And she has had the real pleasure of serving on many community boards, including the Texas Commission on the Arts, The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, Martinez Street Women's Center, and acting as Chair for San Antonio Independent School District's School Health Advisory Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family, and fostering dogs.
